On November 21st, the Church will celebrate Pro Orantibus Day, (“For Those Who Pray”), the Memorial of Mary’s Presentation in the Temple.

Presently, we have three diocesan Cloistered Communities:

• Carmel of the Holy Family, OCD
• Poor Clare Colettines, PCC
• Poor Clares of Perpetual Adoration, PCPA

Pope Francis has strongly encouraged the faithful to express appreciation to cloistered women and men religious in special ways, such as by offering up their prayers, by making visits to monasteries and cloistered convents, by sending cards or letters to contemplative religious, and by coordinating school or catechetical activities.
